Veteran’s Day (Independence Day...plus 130ish)
I’m tabling his month’s Loud & Clear (Lima Charlie) section until 2022. It’ll be back, then.
ROC (Reconnaissance Operations Center) - Words…They Matter, Greatly
Recall that the words we’re using matter. Why do I replace “transition” and “separation” with “Liberty?”
It’s simple: Mindset!
Our mind either frees us for greatness, or enslaves us to mediocrity.
We’ll begin with definitions so we’re all on the same page:
Liberty. lib·er·ty /ˈlibərdē/
the state of being free within society from oppressive restrictions imposed by authority on one's way of life, behavior, or political views:
Synonym: independence, freeness, autonomy, sovereignty, self govern, free reign
Antonym: dependence, subjugation, constraint, trapped, indebted, enslaved
the power or scope to act as one pleases:
"individuals enjoying liberty to pursue their interests/preferences"
Tran·si·tion /tranˈziSH(ə)n/ noun
the process or a period of changing from one state or condition to another: "students in transition from one program to another"
undergo or cause to undergo a process or period of transition:
"the network ought to be built by the federal government and then transitioned into private industry"
Sep·a·ra·tion /ˌsepəˈrāSH(ə)n/ noun
the action or state of moving or being moved apart:
"the damage that might arise from the separation of parents and children"
Synonyms: disconnection, detachment, severance, uncoupling, dissociation,
Antonyms: unification, marriage
the division of something into constituent or distinct elements:
"prose structured into short sentences with meaningful separation into paragraphs"
Replacing the negative words of “transition” and “separation” with the postive ideas of Liberty (and Freedom; and Autonomy) is a great first step in our battle for Liberty beyond uniformed service, as military servicemembers and “military spouses.”
I introduced the idea of “TAPS-ly” a month or so ago in the socials. That happened because my attempt to trademark “TAPS” was denied by the Patent and Trademark Office (another non-profit entity has had that acronmy for 25 years already).
Cost me about $600 to figure that out. Live and learn.
So we adjust fire and keep on moving.
To broaden the discussion and bring new readers up to speed, embedded within the Liberty Accelerator Program are projects (bite-sized chunks) for participants to have a structured, sequenced, and individually-tailored plan for their military family’s specific goals and objectives in military service, and much more importantly, for far beyond it.
It allows us Liberators to meet the family where they’re at: indoctrinated into an “everyone else” mindset while they assume they’re being taken care of by their leadership and the systems that coddle us into complacency and set us up for ambush on the “military transition” warfront.
HERE’s THE DESCRIPTION:
TAPS - Transition Acceleration Project Solutions - is the tactical execution of the strategy we formulate together as a planning team in the Liberty Accelerator Program🐘 (think of the program as the elephant around “transition”), which is an “elephant-sized” solution to “transition.”
Elephants must be “eaten” one bite at a time. And the more time we have to eat, the better we’ll feel and more enjoyable it’ll be! (*Note: no elephants were harmed in the production of this newsletter).
So now you’re asking, what’s the “-ly” all about?
Great question! The “-ly” is about the spouse (whether that’s from the servicemember’s perspective, or the military spouse’s perspective). We’re not just military spouses or military servicemembers…we’re people…with hopes, dreams, and lives to live.
So “-ly” means “love your” and points back to the “S” in TAPS (stands for “solutions”) but also represents “spouse” because that’s where these solutions are found…with the spouse attacking the Transitoin Warfront and Battle for Libery on a team, lead by the couple, and supported by me and the Liberators who are experts across the Transition Battlefield landscape.
Military Transition is a Warfront. The Battle for Liberty from the ranks is real. Don’t delay your mission planning, preparations, and workups. They must begin NOW!
Assume you’ve got all the flanks covered, and you’ll be outflanked somewhere. I guarantee that.
Your future depends upon what you do now. If no direct connection to the MilFam, then please share with anyone who is, so they can equip the MilFam they know with this knowledge and opportunity today.
The enemy is amongst us…and in many cases may actually be us. Identify the enemy, and cover exposed flanks. It takes knowledge and experience and a team of professionals helping us win our battles for Liberty…and Freedom beyond uniformed service.
Have you ever transitioned from the military? Have you thought about it?
“If you know the enemy and know yourself, you need not fear the result of a hundred battles. If you know yourself but not the enemy, for every victory gained you will also suffer a defeat. If you know neither the enemy nor yourself, you will succumb in every battle.” - Sun Tzu, The Art of War
Not sure where to begin? My new book, released just this week, Avoiding Each & Every Military Veteran's DIS-Advantage: How To Overcome the LIEs A Military Family Believes To Get Our Freedom Back is available now, and to these readers a day before aggressive marketing begins (on Veteran’s Day).
I released it six months early due to the urgency of the economic landscape and battles the many military families are fighting right now. So please share and don’t be the senior leader with the secret.
Their future depends upon your decision right now. Let’s take care of our people.
To Your Liberty,
P.s. if you missed the elephant ☝🏼 🐘you missed the message.
